Gaming Suite - Year Zero

Pre-Game

I will be testing that the game is able to start up on Internet Explorer and Firefox. For this suite I will be opening the game in both Internet Explorer and Firefox and see if they both open up with stability.

As you see in the screenshot above, it clearly has started up without fail and it working perfectly fine on Firefox but on the other hand Internet Explorer crashes Year Zero upon attempting to start up the game…

It is clear the Firefox is able to run Year Zero without a problem and Internet Explorer does not even start the game up and crashes upon trying.

Game-Start –

In this game suite I will be testing the intro of Year Zero. I will be testing whether the intro goes smoothly or not and I will be testing by repeatedly pressing the “Intro Movie: Skip” at different times and moment and patterns to see if the button affects the intro at all. I will also be watching through the entire video and I will be messing around with the buffering bar too by sliding it back and forth and tampering with any options I can on the video player to see if it has any issues with it at all.

In-Game –

In this game suite I will be testing whether switching over to Advanced 3D and how different things may affect the transition. I will be switching back and forth from Standard 3D and Advanced 3D and seeing any problems or issues that may pop up during the loading time.

In the screenshot above, this error keep popping up on Firefox every time I try to load Advanced 3D and I realise that if I leave this pop up for too long it will eventually freeze my browser completely for a moment and even if I click “Continue” this error will pop up again! This only happened if I left the pop-up up for more than 5 minutes.

Post-Game –

For this I will be testing whether my game still saves after I have closed down the game and opened back up. I will be testing to see if my game still saves even if I quit the game in the middle of a turn or a move.

I made sure to log out in the middle of my turn to see if it may affect my save.

As you can see in the screenshot above, my game has saved and it has given me messages and updates on my progression.

Not only that, the game has saved every single move I have done correctly including the move I middle in the middle of my turn.
